Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Job Coach is an AI career assistant for job seekers in Egypt and the Gulf. In this policy, "Job Coach", "we" and "us" mean the operator of jobcoach.live. You can reach us at support@jobcoach.live.

2. What we collect

Account details: your name, your email address and the sign-in method you choose. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, so we never see or store your password.

Your CV and profile: the work history, education, skills, courses, certifications, projects and contact details in the CV you upload or the information you type in, plus the roles, countries and ways of working you are aiming for.

Details you choose to add: your nationality and country of residence are optional. We never guess them from your CV, your name or your location, and you can leave them blank.

What you do in the product: jobs you save and applications you track, your notes, employer and recruiter contacts you enter, offers you compare, your interview practice answers, and things you ask your coach to remember.

Technical data: the cookies described below, browser push subscriptions if you turn notifications on, and server logs used to keep the service secure and working.

3. Your CV file

When you upload a CV, we read the file to build your profile. The original file is held only while it is processed and is deleted automatically within 24 hours. We keep the information extracted from it and any CV versions you create or edit in the product.

Before your CV text is sent to an AI model for this step, we remove your name, email addresses, phone numbers and links from it.

4. How we use your information

To run the features you use: matching you to jobs, scoring your readiness, reviewing your CV, preparing application materials, running interview practice and building learning plans.

To send the emails and notifications you have chosen. You can turn them off at any time.

To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems and understand which features work.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. How AI is used

Many features send the relevant parts of your profile, together with job posting text, to AI model providers to generate explanations, drafts and feedback. These providers process the data on our behalf to return a result to you.

Every AI result is labelled for your review. AI does not make hiring decisions about you; employers do, and we never contact them on your behalf without your approval. Your nationality is never used to match, rank or score you.

6. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Job Coach: cloud hosting, account sign-in, AI models, AI quality monitoring and email delivery. They may use your information only to provide their service to us. You can ask us for the current list at any time.

Employers: we do not share your profile or CV with employers. The only exception is an optional employer introduction programme. If you join it, we show you the exact profile we would share with a specific employer, and nothing is sent unless you approve it. That profile never includes your nationality, and we only work with employers who confirm they charge candidates no fees.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

7. Where your data is stored

Our servers are in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Some of our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States, under their contractual commitments to protect it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, CV versions, applications, contacts, interview practice and the rest of your account data are permanently deleted, and your sign-in account is removed.

Server logs that record activity are kept for security, with the link to your account removed.

9. Your choices and rights

You can view and correct your profile at any time, and delete your account and all of its data yourself from Settings.

You can turn off emails with the unsubscribe link in any email or in your notification settings, and turn off browser notifications at any time.

To request a copy of your data, or to ask how it is handled, email support@jobcoach.live. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies

We only use cookies the service needs to work: cookies that keep you signed in, and one that remembers your language. Your light or dark theme is remembered in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit with HTTPS, and each account's data is isolated from every other user's. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you promptly.

12. Age requirement

Job Coach is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify signed-in users by email or in the product before it takes effect.
